Jim Tedder, CLU, is a seasoned State Farm Insurance Agent with a profound understanding of the insurance industry. He began his insurance career in 1977, working as a team member in his father's State Farm office in Perry, Florida. He was appointed as a State Farm agent in Perry on January 1, 1979.

Jim graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Risk Management & Insurance in 1977. He has a CLU designation, which stands for Chartered Life Underwriter, a professional insurance industry designation. He is a member of the Perry/Taylor County Chamber of Commerce and a past president of the Perry Kiwanis Club.

Jim's wife, Sheila, currently works with him as their office manager. She was an elementary school teacher before she began her insurance career. Their son, Josh, and his wife Ashley reside in Tallahassee with their multiple grand dogs and cats. Their daughter Hannah and her husband Anthony currently live near Jacksonville, Florida with their two granddaughters, Arabella and Addie.

Jim enjoys fishing when he can, which is never enough, and trying to take care of their house and land. He and his son Josh are also trying to grow some hay on land that was farmed in the early 1900s by his great, great grandparents.
