Our Story

Our story began in 1946 when Edward O. Bollinger, a World War II army veteran, had a vision to make a difference in Carroll County, Maryland. With the help of his wife June, the Edward O. Bollinger Agency, Inc. was born. Over the years, our agency has grown, and in the 1970s, Edward's sons, Mark and Dave, joined the business. In 1984, we merged with another local provider, Barnes Insurance, to create Barnes-Bollinger, allowing us to offer more services and protect more clients in Carroll County.
