We are a boutique insurance consultancy located in the vibrant city of Oakland, CA, with nearly three decades of experience in the industry. Our mission is to assist businesses in developing and maintaining quality benefits and services for their employees. As a small shop, we do not have the overhead or turnover requirements of a large organization, which allows us to offer small or non-existent fees while maintaining the same level of service as our largest competitors. In addition to serving businesses, we also work with individuals who are separating from service and need assistance in managing those transitions. We help those whose benefit plans do not meet their individual needs by providing more resources and tailored solutions.

Our founder, Patrick Burns, is a leader in the industry, having served in numerous leadership positions in the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), including on the Board of Trustees, President of the local Golden Gate Chapter, and President of the California chapter. He has spoken frequently at industry events on current legislation, industry issues, and compliance. Patrick has also testified as an expert witness in insurance industry litigation and in the State Senate Health Committee in California on Self-funded plan issues, Covered California, and Agency issues. He currently serves on the Foundation Board of North East Medical Services (NEMS), a community health care organization, and is the Chair of the CAHU foundation and the CAHU PAC.
