Company History: A Tradition of Excellence

Leaders Life Insurance Company was founded in Tulsa, OK, in 1989, with roots connected to one of the country's best-run convenience store chains, QuikTrip Corporation. Our primary core value, "Take Care of the Customer, and the Customer Will Take Care of You, " has been the driving force behind the formation of Leaders Life and the development of our flagship product, Lifestyle. This Term to age 100 insurance product with a critical illness (CI) accelerated death benefit has made Leaders Life a dominant force in marketing individual voluntary life insurance to workers in the state.

Over the years, Leaders Life has expanded into numerous states and added new products such as short-term disability, group life and ad&d, and group accident. In 2015, the company joined Michigan Farm Bureau's financially strong family of companies, allowing us to continue our growth and development as an A.M. Best A rated carrier offering products in sixteen states. Today, we serve over 700 agents and brokers and 1,400 employer groups, providing innovative insurance solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Negative: The company is accused of hiring slumlords and enabling exploitation and neglect of tenants.

Unacceptable Business Practices

A disturbing review from Cynthia Hicks highlights the unacceptable business practices employed by the company. According to Cynthia, the company hires "slumlords" who neglect their properties, leaving tenants without basic amenities such as running water, electricity, or air conditioning for extended periods. This lack of maintenance seems to be a deliberate attempt to profit from the suffering of others. The company's callousness is exemplified by the story of a disabled tenant who was trapped in one of their properties by their own family member, exploiting them for personal gain.

Unintended Consequences

This review raises serious concerns about the company's prioritization of profit over people. It is unclear whether the company is aware of these situations or intentionally enabling them to occur. The consequences of such negligence are devastating, leaving tenants feeling helpless and exploited. The company's failure to address these issues creates a culture of neglect and abuse.
